Join us for a special insider's view into multi-cultural Istanbul starting at the grand Ashkenazi Synagogue in Galata, a rare opportunity to visit this lovely building, not open to the public.

Next up Galata's back streets and through a large iron gate there is a secret garden with ducks and many cats. We will visit the Anglican Church (first built in 1858) run by the canton Father Ian. Here there are surprisingly beautiful and witty contemporary icons painted by Scottish Artist Mungo McCosh. One of Istanbul's lesser known gems.

REGISTRATION INFO:

• Please register with this email: info@alternativecitytours.com          After completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation email with all the necessary information including payment details and meeting point.

• For security reasons, and for entrance to the Synagogue, we have to collect full names, nationalities and passport numbers (Passport ID page) from registrants and provide these in advance to the Synagogue Security before our visit.

• **There will be an extra fee of 50TL for the synagogue as it will be opened just for this program and to cover for the security.*
