IWI is a nonprofit social association of women from around the world living in Istanbul. We are not a foundation or charitable organization. 

However, Social Responsibility is important to our members. So much so that every year in the Spring (please note however that the 2020-2021 Call has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), IWI launches a Call for Applications for the Annual Grant Process. Prospective applicants for grant funding are required to fill out a detailed project proposal following a form provided by IWI.

Our 2019-2020 grantees have had their projects supported by IWI, including the opportunity to hold a stand at our signature Winter Festival.

They are:

Europa Donna working on breast cancer awareness and arranging screening and follow-up support for disadvantaged women
Otistikler Derneği which provides educational and cultural activities for young autistic adults and children
Yöret through their ABC Programme fostering parental skills and children's rights in low-income refugee households
Qnushyo providing cultural activities and problem-solving support to refugee mothers and their children
